Dr. Alenuma-Nimoh Chairs a Paper Session at the 2012 AERA Annual Meeting Posted on February 26th, 2012 by

Dr. Sidonia Jessie Alenuma-Nimoh has been selected by the 2012 AERA Annual Meeting Committee to Chair the Paper Session titled

“Teacher Perspectives on English Language Learners and Diverse Learners: Translations of Theory Into Classroom Practices” . The abstract for this collection of seven papers is as follows: “In this session persistent and salient issues in teacher education are explored through an examination of preservice, in-service and teacher educators’ practices and applications of these practices to classrooms: The relationship between preservice and in-service teachers’ sense of self efficacy and effective teaching of ELLS; how teachers’ sense of self and other impact the teaching and learning of ELLS; teachers’ perspectives on effective school-wide programs for ELLs; and the impact of professional development on teachers of ELLs.”
