Tell us a little bit about yourself: I love to be outside doing just about anything. I enjoy running, hiking, playing softball and tennis. I have one older sister that graduated from Gustavus and my mom and dad. I graduated from Richfield, MN
Why did you choose Education? My mom has been a 4th grade teacher for 30 years and ever since I was a little kid I have been spending time in her room. As I grew older and began working with the students I quickly found I had a strong passion for teaching. I love being able to witness even the smallest “aha” moments when students figure something out.
What are your career goals or plans after graduation? Growing up in Richfield my whole life, I have always been drawn to a more diverse community. My plans for after graduation are to hopefully be teaching in an elementary school in Minneapolis working with students of all cultural backgrounds and learning abilities.
