Dr. Sidonia Alenuma-Nimoh presented a paper at the 25th Anniversary Conference of NAME (National Association of Multicultural Education), held from October 1 – October 4, 2015 at New Orleans, Louisiana. The paper is titled: Taking Stock of Multicultural Education: An Up-to-date Historical Account of the Evolution of the Concept. The presentation traced the history behind the concept multicultural education because reminding ourselves of the history of the concept of multicultural education will facilitate our journey to critical multiculturalism. Conceptions of multicultural education continue to evolve since its first conceptualization in the 1960s. Central to the presentation is the question: What has the future got in store for multicultural education Photo 3practitioners and theorists?
