Deb Pitton, Gustavus Education Dept. Chair, at the 2015 Teacher of the Year Banquet with Meggie and Rob Trenda, both class of 2001. Meggie was one of the ten finalists for teacher of the year! She teaches high school Spanish in Edina and Rob teaches elementary students in Hopkins. Also a nominee for teacher of the year was Steve Jones, who teaches math at Mankato West High school and also serves as the instructor for the secondary math methods course for Gustavus math education majors.
